Hey there, this is Yuri from Tokyo, Japan.
I teach English diction and vocal techniques to Japanese speakers.
English wasn’t my forte, in fact, I couldn’t even speak a word for a long time.
But… long story short, I finished my program as a vocal performance major at Berklee College of Music, and what I’ve learned there boils down to two things: One, the pronunciation that people could understand with one listen of the recording or performance. And Two, how to control your voice as an instrument to express yourself freely.
On average, I score 970 on TOEIC, and I have passed Eiken 1st grade.
My line of work involves teaching English and pronunciation to singers, actors, business executives and public speakers.
I also take music-related interpretation and translation projects as well.

こんにちは、中島小百合（ユリ）です。
日本人のための英語発音と発声の
パーソナルトレーナーをしています。
私はもともと英語がとても苦手で、英語はまったく話せませんでした。
しかしボーカルの勉強をするために渡米し、バークリー音楽大学ボーカル科を卒業。
現地で２つのことを徹底的に学びました。
ひとつはレコーディングやパフォーマンスで一発で伝わるアメリカ英語発音。
もうひとつは表現のツールとして、声という楽器を自由にコントロールする方法です。
TOEICは970点、英検1級を取得しました。
